98 jdm b20 on a obd2 LS Harness
whats up folks.....
so heres my deal....dropped in a 98 jdm b20 in my integra...Check Engine Light is on cuz my knock sensor is not plugged in...its not plugged in since the jdm b20 doesnt have one...
So...is there a way i can get rid of the CEL by connecting my knock sensor somewhere else?? or...should i just get the obd2 to obd1 harness and a p75 obd1 ecu??
whats the easiest thing to do???

thanks for the reply....so you're saying all i got to do is take the connector from my LS block and connect it to the alternator hole on the jdm block?? i'm cool off makin a hole in the jdm block...might mess it up...
heres another thing...i think i have to get another knock sensor....lookin at my LS block...looks like the knock sensor is hidden behind the main pulley...i see the wire stickin out from it...correct me if i'm wrong though...
I think you are talking about crank sensor, ls engines didn't come with one, newer once might of, not sure, you have to buy a knock sensor and tap the hole on the alternator bracket and hook up the conector to it, let me know if you still need help, i'll let you know where to find some pics
whats up...i stand corrected then...thats the only plug not connected to anything...would the knock sensor still work then? or what else can i do...the LS i got is a obd2...from the 2001 model integra...not sure it makes a difference...but yeah...thats the only thing not connected...

whats up...i might have solved this problem...on the attarco motor page..it says that the jdm engine doesnt use a crank angle sensor...so they say i have to swap out the oil pump with crank sensor...am i right?? if so...how you swap the oil pump..never did that before....heres the link to the page talkin abou swappin the pump....http://www.attarco.com/index.php?mai...products_id=45
You have to drain the oil, take the header off, take off the oil pan off, take valve cover off, timing belt cover, turn the engine 'till the timing lines match up, take off you timing belt, than there should be 4-5 bolts that hold the oil pump, few 10 mm and 2 on the bottom are 12 mm, clean the surface and put some gasket maker on there and go in reverse order how you took everything off, it shouldn't be too hard.
