98 integra gsr- call wont run with map sensor plugged in. please help
Just bought a 98 gsr integra and it ran like crap so I fixed the timing and it ran better. But I noticed the map sensor wasnt plugged,in so when I plugged it in and go to start the car it dies right away. I already, tried different map sensor and restarting the ecu and both didnt work. And I also tried swap with the tps plugged and that wasnt it either.
Anyone know what the problem is? Thnks for the help

The map sensor uses a 5 volt reference from the ecu. CHeck that it gets its 5 volts. Then check the ground. Make sure it has one. If those check out check the signal wire from the sensor plug. That's what the ecu is going to see to determine the amount of fuel to dump. At idle it should be roughly about .8 to 1.0 volts with around 19-21 hg of vacuum.
