Wussup guys
I have a 96 civic ex with a d16y8 in it.. I ran low on oil and popped a cell code p1259 wich is a vtec malfunction.. Now I threw oil back in the car and everything and vtec still doesn't wanna work.. Beside cleaning the screen can anyone give me some other ideas on how to test or why it doesn't work, can any other problems occur with vtec?? Thnx

clear the codes. Check resistance from the solenoid to body ground. it should be from 15 to 40ohms

 

vtec doesnt crack. It engages.

 

vtec doesn't engage, it kicks in yo.

 

I cleaned the screen, I cleared the codes and I even got a semi new
Solenoid and stuff it only "engages" in 2nd and 3rd gear no first or
4th. Any other suggestions? Nd thnx guys

 

Do you enough oil pressure?
