Default 94 integra fuel pump wont turn on?

Ok I noticed this problem is common but I think mine is a little different and I will brake down everything I do till it’s fixed. 1st when I go to start my car I hear the main relay make a click sound but I don’t hear the fuel pump turn on. I took my back seats of took the cover off and used a volt tester with a light indicator; well I got no power from the wires. What can my problem be?

P.S. a tip i got to test if it's you fuel pump which i'm going to try tomorrow is to get a 12v battery two wire (one to positive one to negative and connect them to the pump directly if it turns on than it's not the pump that's having a problem.

Just because you heard a click from the main relay doesn't mean it is kicking the pump on like it should, also check fuses.

How about actually checking the main relay. It's supposed to close 2 separate circuits - one for the ECU, injectors, etc. & the second one for the fuel pump. If it only closes one of those circuits you'll still hear it click.

Your check with battery wires directly to the pump is a distraction for now. You've already found that the fuel pump circuit isn't getting any power. Without starting the engine, you know it's only supposed to get power for about 1 second after key-on - right?

Did you verify good continuity in the wiring from the main relay back to the pump?

If that's good, next check whether the ECU is commanding the main relay to energize the pump? On my '95 the ECU closes pin A7 to ground when it wants to run the pump.
