Fuel Pump Problem
Hi everyone, i have a 94 integra and the fuel pump does not come on sometimes when trying to starting it. Sometimes it pressurizes but then stops and the car dies. Im for sure its something to do with the ignition switch for the key or the fuel pump cause it primes at times and sometimes doesn't. No check engine light but i did drive it the other day when installing new wheel studs and well i put my foot to the floor just to run it past 4k check engine light would turn on and off at times. Anyone have similar problems?? Could it be the main relay?
Okay is there a way i can test the main relay myself? the car does have 200xxx miles on it too so idk could be both. i unplugged the wires from the fuel pump this morning and found out that electricity isn't going through the wire when i turn the key to on position.
my original fuel pump was long gone before 200k.
some are close to $400 but you can get a brand x
unit for $25 or so at rockauto. or try http://car-part.com/
for cheap used parts. i got one from the latter to carry as a spare
after getting stranded the first time around.

I actually took off the main relay yesterday after doing some more research and forgot that eric the car guy on youtube made a video about it too. i soldered the cracked pin that was pointing out of the relay and bam starts right up every time now! Very satisfied now
