Default 929 ITB' Questions

First off whats this... and should i use it, or cap it off?

Also in this pic there is the rocker arm of some sort, but one has a nut on it the other does not..normal?

Another view...


And last but not least, do you think ill benefit from porting these out ?

yeah, i had the same question.
its so ugly.
its an 'idle screw' if you twist it both ways you'll see holes where the horn open and close. i junked mine and i'm gonna fab somthin up that is a little less ugly

What I'm doing is completely removing that system and allowing air to breath through the idle at all times.

Don't bother porting it, just get the OEM rubber connecting pieces (I don't know what they're called) and the inlet will perfectly match the throttle body side while the oulet will be perfectly round in order to mount them on to a piece of properly sized aluminum piping.

ANd also im not using the oem velocity stacks, (obviously) I need to also figure out a way to mount the stacks..

you can adjust it to where your comfortable with it then take it off

no i meant just install it upside down
nobody could tell the difference

the only thing i see bad about mounting it upside down would be the fact that it would be hard to adjust the idle

but once you get it set you should not have to worry about it again and it makes it look a lot cleaner
