Search and couldn't find much... I've got some 5th gear grind, it happens when car is both warm and cold. If I double clutch and move the shifter in slowly sometimes it goes right into gear and sometimes it kinda chirps into gear.
Also I've been wanting to do some autocrossing this summer. However I've noticed my trany never wants to downshift into first. I haven't forced it into first cause I don't wanna bend the shift fork or something.
Feel free to chime and tell me what going on. I'm not much of a tranny guy. I was wondering if this could be partly caused by too worn shifter bushings? Could that cause the tranny not to be shifter completely into gear and cause my symptoms?
I have the longest tranny that Honda has ever made for the EK so I'm going to be swapping it out for the EX tranny in a month or two so it's not that big of a deal. It's just the whole not entirely knowing what's going on in there that's bothering me.
