5th gear issue
Have a 92 S and when shifting into 5th after about a minute or so it pops out of gear. I pressed my hand against the stick and I can feel it wanting to push out. Every other gear is fine. Does any know what the hell is causing this?? Any help greatly appreciated..
No short shifter..I have never expirenced this and hopin the tranny is ok. There is no grinding or anything either, just pops out of gear. I just replaced the clutch 3000 miles ago, but I dot think that has anything to do with it. I dont want to be takin by the mechanic saying I need a new tranny when I dont or something like that..

no grinding at all..goes in smooth. about a minute later it pops out. I can keep it in gear by firmly holding the shifter. But once i ease the pressure i can literally feel it pushing out wanting to get to neutral. It only pushes back when i accelerate..im stumped and dont want to pay out my A$$ for somethin i dont know and could be an easy fix..
i am running a jdm h22a and have been through both jdm and usdm tranmissions and all i have to say is that h22 a transmissions suck. but the one thing that i have found after running royal purple and trying all types of things , i am now running moble 1 5w 30 and it reduces grind and poping out of gear greatly. try that if u haven't all ready.
My friend has an RSX type S that does the same thing in 6th. The dealer said it has something to do with the transmission but that Acura hasn't come out with a fix for it though.
transmision problem huh..thats the one thig i didnt wanna hear..i have heard of road vibrations and what not causing this but there is certainly something else at work here..its goin to the shop monday, if its a tranny prob looks like i will be driving in 4th alot....
