I use ES motor inerts for the D-series in my 4gen civic.
They are worth it, but be warned that the vibration in my case increased massively. I do have idle issues though, but anyways.
Other than that, I like the inserts a lot. The motor moves A LOT LESS. This may be a drawback for people used to just dropping the clutch with low RPMs.

If you don't mind the small discomfort of vibration on idle, i'd definitely recommend them.

I've got ES inserts on my 99 Si. You do feel/hear a lot more of whats going on in the engine bay with them. I'm only using the front two, as I was kinda lazy that day and didn't feel like putting the rear insert in. Too much **** in the way. I did find out the car has more of a problem with snow traction(less slop means power to the tires sooner) than with the stock rubber mounts. Now if you go with HaSport mounts, get your girlfriend to sit in the car when it idles. She'll love it.......

 

i've used them, and never had a problem. Be ready for a lot more vibration, especially if you are able to put the rear mount insert in.

 

I'm using ES inserts in my rear tranny mount and front torque mounts. They eliminate a lot of engine movement and are a great bang for the buck mod. I'm also running a Place Racing upper tranny mount and a Prothane driver side insert(96-00 Civic), and my engine hardly moves at all. As stated above, be prepared for some chassis vibration, although I feel it's definately worth the performance tradeoff.

 

yes, just like everyone else said... the vibration level definately increases, but I barely feel any flex when I shift or gun it. everything is really tight.
