FYI in the late '80s there were some crazy numbers in Honda's Formula 1 turbo engines.

In 1987 they had a 1.5 V6 turbo that made 994 hp at 12,000 rpm. Block was made from ductile iron to prevent "grenading". Heads were of aluminum. This engine put out 1,500 in qualifying trim (i.e. it would last about 6 miles).

Granted they ran 102 RON that wasn't even gasoline but more like 120 octane.

So for a Civic engine? Trying to run it at 40 psi would be like trying to use a kid's balloon for a car tire.

It doesn't matter what goes first because you won't be able to tell WTF happened after.

it was completely hypothetical. i was bored. and by the way, stopping the detonation is not hard, so assuming that its not detonating, i was curious what HT thought would go first. i think the head gasket and rings would take a **** at the same time then the sleeves shortly after. i think the rods would be last.

its not too retarted a question gary gardellas new car runs 45-50 psi on ethanol and a worked out stock block about 900hp
