like it says, my turbo doesnt spin even at idle. Thought it was the turbo bought an new one and same scenerio. Car would start and idle fine, but the turbo is not moving. Could it be te valves are loose and cause it not to spin? compression and everything is fine. Need some expertise help. Any thoughts turbo folks......

 

it never spins at idle or after it warms up after driving it?

ive seen most, not turn at first but after the oil has run through it they spin rather freely.

also, if this was a brand new turbo. did u make sure to crank the car without the distributor plugged in, so as not to fry the bearings in the turbo with no oil pressure.

 

i've crank it long enough for the oil to reach the turbo, and i didnt have to unplug the distributor, my swithes for the motec/msd was off. just pushed the start button and let it cranked.. any more suggestions.

check your waste gate to see if is stuck open and check for holes in the manifold
