01 Integra Type R LEMON???
what up everyone, i hope someone can help me out with this. i bought my type r 2 years ago with 187 miles on it and since i've had it, i have had nothing but problems. first it started with the clutch feeling extemely mushy(which ended up being replaced 3 times before i got an act clutch), to inner and outer bearings going in my transmission every few months. i have always babied the **** out of the car and to top it all off, i am getting some piston ring blowby when i start the car and when i get into the vtec. i go through almost a quart of oil a week! all of this with only 40,000 miles! i put an aem coldair intake, ngk plugs, nology hotwires, act street/strip clutch, and 18's on the car. i love the car but it is an endless battle and i want to know what the hell i am doing wrong or if the car is the problem. has anyone had problems like this? any help would be greatly appreciated!
as far as piston blow by, most likely the motor was babied too much (yes there is such a thing) and the motor wasn't broken in properly and the rings never set to their full potential, now they are having blow by. As far as the transmission, maybe someone else can help u out
yea there is a warranty, but the bastards at the dealership think because im 22 years old that i abuse the car and they will no longer do warranty work on it. they told me that because of the way that the tires were worn, that i was driving the car too hard! BS!
try going back to stock before you show up at a dealership.
when you start putting nology hotwires, 18's and other ricer parts on a type R the dealership has every reason to suspect you're abusing the car.
and i have a feeling you aren't telling us something you should be...as honda's rarely have these types of problems...especially when driven properly.

yeah .... haha, just because of the tire wear they can refuse you??? strange.. yeah try stock then go back, i hear they wont honor warrantys even if you just put a new valve cover on.. ha
A 'lemon' is not what you are explaining, but thats besides the point, maybe you did baby it too much, in a few cases they will void your warranty for having aftermarket parts on it (CAI). I'd say put most of the factory parts you have still, back on the car, and bring it to another dealer (that is if you have another one fairly close by)

If worse comes to worst, ask to speak to their DSM (District Service Manager) and sit down and explain the scenario. I see this all the time, and am on the recieving end of it. Dont take any crap, but dont act like the typical young kid and get fired up.
Something really doesn't sound right. I don't think I have ever heard of a 01 Integra Type R being a Lemon unless the previous owners beat the CRAP out of it. I would definately go after the dealership if this is doing it without YOU beating it up.
i can see how they would think that but i dont race(all the time) i just use my car as a show car. now admittedly, i do drive the car like its a race car because it is a racecar. i mean come on, what did they expect when i bought the car, that i wasnt going to drive like it should be driven? it doesnt make sense.
dude, dont even deal with the local department heads. You have to call honda of america, and call them soon. Keep bothering honda of america until they fix your car. Theyll do it. Ive seen numerous people complain about excessive blow by and they replace the whole bottom end, sometimes the head as well. Tell them you didnt pay 27k on a car to have it lose oil on you.

In your first post you said that you "baby the **** out of the car", and now you are stating that you drive the car like it's a race car, because it is a racecar.
I don't blame the dealer for not wanting to fix your problems under warranty.
