Default "exercising" ABS

I remember a post from someone who said that someone didn't rev to the VTEC engagement point for years and years and then had the pins stick shut.

If you don't use your ABS occasionally, does that system get gummed up as well? Is it better for your ABS to get some exercise now and then?

Yeah the fluid needs to be ciculated I've heard...I guess just activate it once and a while to do so.

Well, ABS is controlled electronically, but like most components in modern cars, it's just electronic control of mechanical parts. In this case, valves are involved and valves can get stuck. Not that I've ever heard of them getting stuck in ABS... but anyways...

Here's some fun reading in case you're bored at work or something http://www.howstuffworks.com/anti-lock-brake.htm

I'm not gonna fool myself... I'm definitely not a good enough threshold braker to be able to brake faster without ABS than with!
