Default Traction bars???? How do they affect handling?????

Ok, ive been wondering this for some time.

What kind of affect does a set of traction bars have on the handling of a car? I know most people that use traction bars are mainly for drag, and id love to have it, but i dont think that im going to want to sacrafice handling for extra traction.

Now i have heard some people say the traction bar has hurt their handling, and other say is was the single most noticable suspension mod for them.

So im just looking for a bottom line..... How does it affect handling??? With a traction bar, is it even necisary to have a front swap bar???

Suspension is going to be a new feild for me. I plan on researching the next fe months before i make and decision, and then do the acording mods in the off season, so u can expect do get a few other questions from me.....

thanks all, you guys are always very helpful...

A properly designed traction bar will force the suspension to stay within the movement range that Honda designed from the factory, and should have minimal effect aside from reducing bushing slop. Improperly designed traction bars induce suspension binding, and create a whole world of handling problems.

traction bars are nothing new to hondas. there stock on alot of cars like early integras/ civics. so they cant be too bad if honda put them there.

I just took off my radius arms *cough* AVID RACING *cough* because of the binding/poor fitment

as far as i know, we are the only mfg to make a fully engineered traction bar which will help handling in all situations, from braking to accelerating to turning.

heres an article we put on our site a while back, its worth reading

i noticed the front end was just stiffer all around after i welded midnight performances traction bars in my crx (theyre supposed to be bolt in but due to poor mounting design i welded them)
