Default thicker coilover spring in front

i just needed a yes or no answer...

does the thicker or thinner spring go to the front?

im guessing thiner in back bc less wieght althought most coilovers iv ever seen have had the same with springs in front and back

Generally the beefier the spring the stiffer it is. Most coilovers produced on the market have japan type spring rates (heavier in the front).

Thicker coil wire does not always mean stiffer spring. Coil spacing and spring length also plays a part in the spring's actual rate.

Is there not a spring rate in either lb/in or kg/mm printed on the spring?
