I wouldn't cut springs period. It will affect performance on bumps and whatnot on turns and daily driving. Nice car btw. Also, from the pictures if you lower the rear any further, it seems like it will rub like crazy.

okay i'll try to answer your question without putting you down...

you have an 08 civic and you want to cut your springs. BAD IDEA PERIOD! i dont know what type of warranty you purchased with your car but if you cut your stock springs then consider your warranty thrown out the window and ran over by another 08 civic lowered on proper suspension with oem warranty.

with that said, lowering your car on tein s-tech would be the proper way to do a decent drop. S-tech lowers your car by 1.4(35mm) inches in the front and 1.3(32mm) inches in the rear.

as a former employee of Tein USA, the s-tech have been designed to utilize your stock struts to work in conjunction with one another. As long as your struts ARE NOT blown, leaking, or sagging (which would be a result of being blown or leaking) then the ride quality will be smooth for a lowered car.

^ I thinnk he said he's already on the S-techs.

But yeah, right on all accounts. DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS. Not good for your ride in any way, shape or form.

And honestly, I think your drop looks bad *** as is. If you want to go lower just keep the springs while you save up for a pair of coilovers. Then you can raise and drop as much as you want.
