Default Progress Coilover Systems

Has anyone ever tried using these? Are they strong and give a smooth ride?

i just got mine on a few days ago, so far i love them!

... not sure if you know though, that link you posted is for the aggressive spring rate kit, if you are wanting them for your street car, then i would look at the more friendly 350/250 springs

I am very close with Progress and have run their stuff on my H1 car for sometime now. They are very comparable to high end shocks for the price and progress can valve to your desired spring rates as well.

What are your goals and usage for the shocks, then we can help guide you towards the right setup.

im just using them daily driving and i want to be able to adjust the height pretty low cuz i like a low ride but dont want them to get bouncy after a while from being too low. Can I use bigger top hats with coilovers to get a longer piston travel?

how low are you trying to go exactly? the shock bodies themselves are already shorter. heres what the rep told me.

The issue that MAY arise (if the extended hats are used), may be that they COULD reduce the necessary DROOP travel (extension) too much. This is only a thought, as we have not needed to go this route. The CS-IIs have plenty of wheel travel, if not lowered beyond about 2.0" or so. I hestitate to post this "2.0" number, as we have a wide range of road conditions, and some owners need more travel than others...

And where would I get new OEM tophats anyways as my current factory ones are pretty beat up and falling apart.

I have looked at the progress parts for a while since I am considering getting a setup for my wife on her 96 Accord with all original shocks and springs. I think they have good quality stuff.

OP:
Are your top hats beat or the bushings beat from the springs? Your top hats should be fine, but I would at least consider replacing the bushings between the spring and top hat. You can get them from your local Honda dealer pretty cheap I imagine.

since the bodies are already shorter, you'd not have to drop the actual springs too much. they should be fine easily.
