Default Lowering Help !

Hey guys just a quick question, I couldn't find a concrete answer in the archives so hopefully someone can just help me out. My question is

Can I lower/ "dump" my car and instead of purchasing a camber kit, just got get an alignment done and have them set the toe near 0 i believe ?

I'm just curious cause i'm itching to lower my car more but don't want my tires to get ate @ if you guys can help me out i'd greatly appreciate it - thanks justin

No, you don't want OEM spec. You want 0 toe.

After lowering my car a bit to add some camber before a track day, I measured my toe, and it was within spec (>1/16 out). I didn't want to mess with it because I was being lazy. Got to the track, and noticed some feathering on the inside of my tires; set to 0, and haven't had a problem since.

Yes, you should be fine. Make sure you get before and after printouts at the shop.

How far can you lower before you need to have camber kit? 1inch? 2inches? More?

I don't know about inches, but I'm running around 3* of neg camber (enough so you can see that there's alot of neg camber) and have no uneven wear issues.

depends on your car but usually 1.5"-2.0" is where you will start to need a camber kit
