Just put em on my hatchback. They ride real nice. About the same stiffness as the middle level of my old AGX KYB's. I like em. :D

595 well spent!

and your right about the ride quality just a bit firmer than stock.

how would you even adjust the preload?
damn suspension noobs.LOL jk. the part where you adjust the "spring" and only the spring, up and down, then you are adjusting the preload (preload, meaning factory already set where the spring is suppose to sit). the other way of lowering it is when you adjust the lower part, you know the casing at the bottom that can go up and down. that keeps you from adjusting the spring load. which you can lower it to the max and wont blow the shock at all. cuz that casing is not asociated with the shock. its a seperate piece. its there just to hold the shock and bolt up to your car. so dumping it all the way does not compress the shock in anyway. thats why full coilovers are better than a spring/coilover sleeve and shock combo, at times. the shock always will have the travel no matter how high or low the suspension is. i hope you understand this

You can ride slammed for sure w/ function type 1's. At least that's what I know.
I have a set on my dc2, and I haven't had any complaints so far. And I've had them for about 3-4 months?

No. you can't choose the spring rates.
I believe the spring rates for the type 1's are 6k/8k.

They ride good. And like I said, I'm not complaining. It's my DD btw. I say go for it.

I had FF1s on my EG when it got stolen. Rode amazing. I chose standard rates, was tucking tire, and it rode like a dream. I'll probably get them again for my EK. I loved them.

I have friends that use PICs and D2s, of course theirs are adjustable, but the ride quality was definately up there with them.

you're NOT supposed to touch the perches at all...i didnt and it still has room to go down these can go VERY low if you want...

since u twist the whole shock to raise it up and down.. how do u raise or lower it while the coil over is bolt on to the car already without touching the two red perches( the preload) hmm..

you have to drop it from the top and adjust the body. Also you can interchange the FF1 from ef onto basically anytype of car. I sold my type ones awhile ago in desperate need for cash and some guy with a DC2 bought them. All you would need to change over to an integra would be EF forks, i took his old suspension but now my car has reverse rake cause i can imagine the front of his car ways a ton.

also i was told by many people who ride the car dumped with full coilovers, they just mess up the preload to ride it low.

im thinking of raising my car to about this height, still looks good and probably rides a little smoother...

hey guys i plan on getting these for my 97 civic ex from weksos. my friend has had these on his crappy eg for 4 months and theyre getting a little bouncy. i dont know if its the car or the coilovers. the spring rates are 10k/6k btw. i dont plan on being slammed, i just want to be tucked in and cover all the gaps. id say 2" drop maybe? its gonna be a daily driver, no dragging or anything. please lemme know if i should get these.

on some coilovers you can raise/lower the car while the coilovers are still on the car. for the function forms, you would losen the gold lock ring that locks the bottom shaft from spinning. then once loosen you can take the coilover wrench and spin the whole coilover by latching onto the bottom spring pearch and spin it clockwise to lower or counter-clockwise to raise.

if you plan on going daily just stick with type I's there pretty stiff as is compared to the type II's.
