Stance is lame. Stay practical. But to answer your question the type 1s won't give you what you're looking for.

Koni Yellows with extended top hats and either find some used lowering springs for cheap, or spend some dough and get the Ground Control sleeves/springs.

Koni Yellows with cheap lowering springs and Ebay extended top hats ~ $600?
Koni Yellows with Ground Control sleeves/springs/tophats ~ $1000

The best, and that's very relative, way to achieve what you desire is to install air suspension.

Why not just fully stance out your car and simply cut the springs.
Very cost effective and gives you the same poor drivability issues that you would have if you spent money.

But you usually re-use the stock ones when replacing struts

FF1s wont get it right. FF2s will. but the cost outweighs the gain.

"stance" is cool and evrything, but all it really gets you in the long run is a car with tires taht are bald on the inside and crappy handling.

koni yellow, cheap springs, and gc top hats are what you need if youre on a budget.

Slamming an EF on a budget wont really happen. FF coilovers will not get the car low. Period. They will slam just about every other chassis, but not the 88-91 civic/crx. You need to look at Ground Control coilovers with custom spring rates (500 lbs+) for the front, shorter springs and set on the lowest perch of the Koni shock body and either Ground Control or custom upper mounts (top hats) to retain some shock travel. To fit the widths you are speaking of you will need at least a camber kit for the rear to go beyond the negative camber when you slam your car. Possibly even a front kit depending of the offset and how much you want to tuck. With the front kit, you greatly increase the chance of your UCA hitting the shock tower...now you need to cut holes in your towers. This is like black magic for EF's...you cannot just slap on coilovers and dump. Sorry.

Or you could just get ebay sleeves, oem struts and bounce on down the street.

Good idea! At least you're listening lol

But i would suggest finding someone on here who modifies stock top hats. You are GOING TO NEED extended top hats if you dont want to continually bottom out your $500+ Koni's... Should be able to find a decent set of 4 for $50?

Looking at the model #'s:

One pair are the same, the other are different.
Whether its the front or the rear that are the same, idk.

But here is a full brand new set for $503 with free shipping.
