Default front upper strut causing car to lean?

stupid question, but would it ever be possible that a front upper strut bar can cause your vehicle to lean to another side? i just relized i installed one on my car while the car was on a jack and after thinking about it, i could've possibly had one side of the suspension "tightened" up more than the other.

even after an alignment, car still leans

What's your setup, and how does it lean?

I'm assuming you're running straight lowering springs, and that the driver's side is lower than the passenger side? If so, that's normal for a Honda. Alignment won't effect ride height.

absolutely not.

cars just have uneven suspension heights. its natural.

im running coilovers with koni struts. front coils are 8 threads down while the rear coils are around 15 threads down. front upper strut, rear upper strut, rear sway.

the car leans off a lot...to the point where my steering wheel will point at "1'o clock" if i let it go on the straightaway. which will lean me to the right

So by 'lean' you mean your car pulls to the left when you let go of the wheel?

sorry. i did read your first post, just missed that last line.

i dont get it. are you complaining more that the car STEERS to the left or leans, as in the ride height is uneven.

it definately has NOTHING to do with a strut bar.

Yeah, forget the strut bar theory you have.

And you did get a wheel alignment, correct tire pressure, all bolts/nuts tighened down, and no ball joints blown correct??

Your next step, if it bothers you and its a physical appearence thing, get the car corner weighted. Instead of counting thread on a coil over, sit in the car while the car is on scales and the wieght transfer will tell you what you have to do. If more weight is up front, the rears need to be dropped a little. If the right side is heavier, the left side needs to be dropped a little.

They use this for racing and not to many places are able to do this to daily driven cars. But this would be the last step if all else fails.

corner weighing does NOT EVEN THE RIDE HEIGHTS.

at the very best, it makes it MORE UNEVEN.

the car steers to the point where i would have to hold the wheel or else it will steer me off to the right or even to the left sometimes. its definately not normal car lean (i drive an camry and tc and it never does it this bad).
i have a feeling it is my coilovers and the springs havent been "indexed" properly =\

Sounds like they could of messed up your alignment and not of put steering wheel lock in the middle. I would take your car back to the shop and tell them whats going on with your car.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by JTTeG_X &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the car steers to the point where i would have to hold the wheel or else it will steer me off to the right or even to the left sometimes. its definately not normal car lean (i drive an camry and tc and it never does it this bad).

If it was consistantly to one side, I'd say alignment. Since it sounds like it's random, it's quite possibly tramlining. My car always does it, and it can get pretty bad depending on what set of tires I'm running. What is your wheel / tire setup? And can you post the alignment results?
