Default Extended studs in front without using a press?

I have heard that there is a way of installing extended studs in the front without removing the bearing from teh hub. Is this true? If so how do I get teh old studs out and the new ones in?

TIA

BTW: The whole front brake assemblys are already off the car.

you can swap the studs w/o the press.
you need to take off the back brake dust cover, then you need to rotate the hub till you find a spot that is close to almost clearing the existing studs. hammer them out. you'll find the spot where they will do that. then use a grinder/ cutting wheel(heavy duty-makita) you must cut off half of the rounded head on the extended studs. don't worry it will be fine. this will need to be done to all of them.(extended ones only!!). use the same spot to slide the cut part facing towards the inner hub. you may need to tap with a hammer. after that you need a open lug nut for pressing the stud into the hub. it takes alot with your impact gun!!!!! thats pretty much it. i did it all by myself and it took some time, but well worth it.

I just went and looked at my frond brake assembly and it doesn't look like I can hammer the studs out anywhere. These are GSR brakes. Will it still work? Does anybody have pictures of what he is talking about?

Buy yourself a new pair of wheel bearings and take them to a machine shop and have everything pressed in.... no worries that way

The back is easy, just remove the wheel, breaks (disc or drum) and undo the 32mm nut. the whole hub will come off that way. Install teh studs and put it back together.

The whole hub itself is a bearing in the rear, I wouldn't replace it unless you see damage when you take it off.
