Default Texas Safety Inspection

I have a few questions peole haven't be able to give a definate answer too. I'm do for an inspection and im getting conflicting opinions from various old threads. So here are my questions, please if possible i need "definate's", not "probably's"

Ok so first srs light is on, does it matter? I know how to use a resistor to turn it off but if it dont matter why bother?

Second, my car has some cheapo, ebay special "CAI" The breather hose isn't connected to it but the tubing has a hole in it im assuming to rig it up. I bought a small breather filter that doesn't need to be attached to the tubing, will this be okay or will that cause it to fail? i mean its not like it'll effect emissions bought i dont want an automatic fail thing. Help is much appreciated.

BTW i looked at TxDot website abut safety items and srs isn't listed. But people say it might cause me to fail. Breather filter counts as emmsions item but does it mater theres no sensors on the tubing just the intake manifold

All I can say is I took my integra to get inspected and I had a breather filter on mine and they didn't say anything about it. Honestly the breather thing depends on where you take it. Some places wont care and some places will. I say don't mention it to them and if they don't say anything then your good. Hopes that helps

like he said some place look for things like that and some dont. Some you can pay to get it to pass and some say come fix it and come back.. All I can say is when I was in california they would not pass any of my cars with a cheap ebay intake, it had to be stamped with a # and all that good stuff same with the headers.. IF your worried about it just slap on the factory air box and let them do a visual and pass you.. As for the srs iam believing its gonna be a issue too.. Might want to just take car of it.. I tried to just take the bulb out but to my surprised when they hooked it up I guess it came up along with some chech engine codes.. They unpuged me told me to fix the issues and come back... NOw all this was for a smog/ inspection check so iam not sure if your doing both or not.. If so I fix the above things just to make the process that much easier.. But again depending how strict your state is then Maybe you will fly by...
