i built a d series gokart but i need a gas tank. any suggestions if i should u a civic gas tank or fuel cell. and where could i get it for cheap. im on budget($400, spent $250)

Definlty not a full tank from a car, depending on what you call a go kart. Just get a fuel cell off ebay, as long as it holds gas it should work. I was real close to using a milk jug for my tank but it wasn't close to running and had some buddies make me one.

hmm.. I was thinking about doing this. What did you use for a transmission? and stuff like that, think you could give me any pointers?

i wouldnt make a body on it...i see absolutely no reason for it. get it running, then maybe consider the body..

any body have part they don't need in New Jersey around Linden would be better.
Il buy master cyclinder and power booster for brakes.and i need clutch master cyclinder from some one. i need wire harnes for d series my is fucked up, i need to make a new one.and steering colum mine is two pipes with a spin at the ends .


Any body could help i would really appreseate (sp)!!!!!!!!!!

Why dont you simplify the steering and get rid of the rack and pinion and go with a go kart type steering system.

Are you using he whole suspention system too? Post some pics up, souds like your making it harder than it needs to be...

yeah im using the front suspension. Ineed the spinals for the axels for the trans. And i need the shocks so i don't go flying into the air .

the regular go kart steering would snap with all that wieght in the front. plus i think it would be really hard to turn. but good idea tho

go kart type... All he has to do is get bigger tie rods/ joints.

i guess it could be but we have a d series motor for cheap (complete swap) so we just took that.
