Default DIY intake

just wanted to know where to buy cheap K&N intake filter.
do you hve to get a special size running stock piping?
i have 98 acura integra

Well the only "special size" if you're still stock would be the K&N Drop-In filter, which would be designated to your car.

Unless you're talking about just adding a funnel intake to your stock piping (You would have to take off the airbox to give you this type) but even then, I don't think any of them fit an under 3'' pipe.

i bought a universal k&n air filter from autozone and made it fit...only cost 30$ ...search around. i believe it was teh ru-2820??

you got it, fits even better than the actual K&N drop-in and costs less than half the price.

that drop in filter is a pain too, cuz it's hard as hell to find. every pep boys i've gone to need to special order it. bah

apex'i cone filter is the way to go...its a bit more expensive but its damn well worth it

i heard the japs dont even get intake or the piping.
they just replace the filter with a drop in filter and take the resonator out
planning to do that with mine since i really dont need intake.
