Hey I did a quick search but didnt really find anything, does anyone know the differences between the cx and dx, ek hatches? Like.. power steering, power windows, ac, sunroof, body moldings (painted, un-painted, or none at all), brakes, airbags, tach? anything like that would be greatly appreciated. I found both the motors are the same the d16y or something like that 106hp 103 ft/lbs anyway.. anything else would be awesome, thanks.

 

it will slightly depend on the years, as in 96-8 and 99-00 cars.

from personal experience on 99-00 cars here in Canada:
CX has no power steering
optional passanger side airbag
plastic black hatch spoiler
cx lacked the hub caps and came with silver 14" wheels. while DX had hub caps with black steelies.

A/C is optional on all models.
rear wiper came on all 99-00 cx/dx's while in 96-8 only on the DX trim.
brakes/pw/body coloured molding was not offered in any year on the hatches other then '00 Canadian SE hatch which came with alloys, rear mid spoiler and few other add ons.

 

Hey man that helps a lot.. anyone else got anything? Here in the US we were not fortunate enough to get an SE model.

the 96-98 CX did not come with a rear hatch wiper, 99-00 did
Neither cx nor dx came with power windows, locks for 96-98, though I'm not positive on the 99-00 DX.. the 99-00 DX came with optional painted moldings, etc..
None of them came with rear discs, hence no ABS.

The DX came with optional cd player, ac, ps, etc..


you may want to do a search in the archives in the eg+ and the appearance forums. I know there were threads before.
