Default brake light remains on....

okay here's the deal. You know the brake light that lets you know when you're low on brake fluid, and lets you know when your ebrake is up? Well mine remains on.

When E-Brake is down, light remains on.

I've checked the fluid level and it's fine. I've even recently bled the brakes.

I've taken the lid off and made sure that the floater can move freely, it's not hindered in any way.

I've made sure that when i put the mastercylinder lid on, that i'm not crimping any wires. It's not crimping any wires.

I've tested my brakes and they seem to be working fine (ie. both circuits are working)

Other than the ebrake being up, and being low in brake fluid, what makes this light come on?

btw, i have a 2000 civic si without ABS

if ur tail light stays on most likely its the lil plastic piece that is on the brake pedal that touches ur break light switch....if thats fine then ur brake light switch might be bad... or it can also mean a burnt bulb...i believe si's have abs....but if all of those check out right test/replace that brake fluid cap .... or it could be ur parking brake switch....
