Did you make sure the head isn't warped? Did you do the same for the block deck?

Information about your setup would help a lot. When you replaced the gasket, did you change the o-ring for the oil control orifice?

Did you torque the head bolts in the right sequence? Are you using ARP headstuds?

b16 9:1 ductile iron sleaves eagle rods. No i didnt replace the o-ring damn do you think this could be the problem. I definetly did it in the correct order, but the psi on the bolts might be wrong what is it on the arp's. I couldnt get a straight answer from arp so i did it to oem specs. Where is that oil ring you speak of?

On the block's mating surface, toward the back of the block, is where the oil control orifice is located. If you didn't replace its o-ring, you could have 50+psi of oil going to your HG. The oil could be finding it's way to coolant and mixing.

Is it possible that over-torquing of my head studs would cause a head gasket leak, and if so what shoul i do?

**** I didn't replace that O-ring when I put my motor together... so does that leave good chances of me having the same problem?

Well I did a leak down test and i have leakage between 3 and 4. So the good news is i found the problem the bad news is it could be a number of reasons.
Dropped wall head gasket, etc. I guess ill just tear it appart this weekend and find out. Wish me luck

I believe my GSR ARP studs were 67 ft. lb. I did them to 20 ft lbs, then 50, then 70. worked good for me.
