Tranny Woes...Searched...help
Alright. Well after doin a clutch job, Exedy 92+ oem replacement and ACT Prolite flywheel, and takin forever to get my tranny back in, i got everything back together and fired up the car. When i started i up, there was a sort of clunking noise comin from the tranny which would go away about 2 secs after i put the clutch all the way in. I threw it in gear, and could move it fine back and forward. So i started to drive it down my driveway, something clunked, and then it stopped moving. I can go through all the gears just fine, but when i let off the pedal, the car doesnt move. I thought it was the axles but i checked those and both were in. When i have the clutch pedal out and rev the motor, the speedo does not move.
So I took the tranny off today, and i'm not really sure what to look for, the throwout bearing moves back and forward fine and the input shaft appears to be intact. But, there IS grease on the pressure plate fins where the throwout beraing makes contact with it. Could it be slipping around on the pressure plate or do I have other issues. Any other suggestions? Thanks in Advance!

So you can put it in all the gears but when you let of the clutch does the car jump and act like its in gear ? Are you sure you installed the clutch disc in the right way ?
Yea, I was able to go through every gear, and i was unable to stall the car. The clutch disk was installed properly with the hub facing the input shaft.

So it goes in every gear and does not stall so it will not roll either ? If that is the case then its not in gear.

Yea it goes into every gear fine, but i can shift into every gear with the clutch out and get no grindage. I spun the input shaft and the area where the axles go in spin, so I take it the input shaft is intact. I move the shifter fork and the throwout bearing moves freely along the input shaft. So I'm stumped as to what it is.

Well i hooked it all back up today. It seems that my passenger side axle was NOT all the way in which explains the clunking i heard. The consequences of this are that on the part of the axle after the ring clip, the threads are almost completely ground down, and on top of that, it did some damage to that part inside the tranny as well. So i'm assuming that I'm gonna havta get another tranny, and definately an axle. But for now i'm just gonna havta drive it like it is and hope i dont get stuck anywhere. I took it for a couple runs around the block and haven't had the axlpe pop out or anything, and man do i love it with this new flywheel. But yeah, thanks alot for the help, i appreciate it.
