yeah you could weld it up, re drill it, and tap it. or you could just go with the next size larger thread diameter and get an appropreate bolt and never know the difference.

I would just helicoil it, that would be best.

BTW this is one of the upper tranny mount holes, the crack just seemed to end right there too. But will this expand over time? can I just go to a muffler shop and fill the hole with weld?

Yes, a welding shop would be better, but keep in mind you'd be introducing a LOT of heat into the housing. I vote for the Helicoil solution. If that fails, then look into welding it.

yes you can weld it but there are certain things that you have to do......in order to weld a cast you have to pre-heat the aluminum first then weld it with a high quality filler like 3036

dear god how is this happening to you guys, ive been workin on Hondas for 10 years now and have never seen this happen. Are the bolts that hold the mount to the block the correct length? on another note yes i could be welded but fromt the looks of it youll have to remove the engine so the welder can put it back together.

Oh cool, that's what I wanted to hear. The motor is already out of the car waiting for some attention. What kind of welder should I look for to get this done?

yes, since it looks like u have all the big chunks, u should be able to weld it uppretty easily, retap, then possibly have to timesert em if the holes are fucked big time

and yea, u will hve to pull it apart so the welder can access the area and clean it all up

The size and type of welder youll need will be more expensive than you will want to hear. As well as the experience necessary to run that type of welder. but porbably a big tig machine.
