Default Dented oil pan

I have a dent in my pan just noticed it --- it is not very big maybe the size of a nickel and 1/4" deep --- does any body know if this could effect vtec engagement I have my vtec set high and have never really noticed any problems with it ---- but just looking for advice....

I remember he dented his oil pan and some how his oil pick up tube was damaged a little too. His VTEC was affected by it.

hell yea it was, it (vtec)was intermittent for two years! The oil pan didn't look that bad from below the car, but once I got it off it was clear that the oil pick up line was fucked. I bent it all out, adn ever since I have never been turned down by vtec... it even enganges when my car is cold!

yeah i dented my h22a pan in the del sol and seized the damn motor cause it didnt get enough oil. $900 later i was back on the road...

If it popped the oil pickup tube, then yes. Otherwise, it shouldn't.

nevermind I found it in my honda service manual ---
it is in the front coner of the pan ----
