Default who runs a 60-1 turbo and tell me a little about it

i hate my t3t4e, want larger. i dont have a huge wallet at this time.

whoever runs a 60-1, tell me what AR you chose...spool rate and what rm u reach roughly 10-12 psi.

is a 60-1 even efficient at 10-12 psi for daily driving or is that low level of boost choking the turbo?

Look into Holset turbo if you want bigger than your standard T3/T4. Do a search on their turbos.

i am running a 60-1 it starts to spool around 4000 and gets full boost around 4500 and when it gets boost man it kicks in hard. i am only running it on 8 psi. it is a turbo that needs to be boosted higher to be efficent. thats why i am looking for a smaller turbo. the turbo i have came with the kit i bought from a guy. the AR is 70mm.

I'm loving my 60-1. Starts to spool at 4000, followed by vtech shortly there after. Next thing you know... Lots of power.

I ended up with the hifi version.
.63 AR with a stage 5 exhaust wheel. It makes sick power. Heres the figures:

As you can see, the turbo is mighty capable of moving some air. For the moment, I'm quite happy with it. I've been to the track with the car twice. Best to date is a 12.4 at 120mph. Keep in mind, that time was on radials, pump gas, 0.8 bar, and full interior (with system).

You can also take a look at:
http://masetuning.com/case.html#

Vic and I have nearly identical output. However, he has the full size Garrett with the .82 AR and I have the .63 AR.

Info from turbonetics:
The 60-1 Performance Turbocharger
Representing the careful marriage of a unique high flow/high efficiency compressor section teamed up with a T4 turbine section the 60-1 has proven itself in every competitive motorsport application from drag racing to Bonneville. Available with either the standard (4” inlet, 2.5” discharge) compressor housing or the 60-1 Hi-Fi ( 2 3/4” inlet, 2” discharge) compressor housing, the 60-1 will outflow any standard T04B with ease! (The 60-1 Hi-Fi will deliver approximately 90-95% of the flow capacity of the standard 60-1.)

I've often wondered why my hifi put out nearly the same power as Vic's full size 60-1.... Maybe it was just the entire package??? I dunno...

I also should have added I have a t3/60-1 stg3, but mine is on a f series so I get no love anyways.

well since I found my leaking bov and added a boost controller I manage to drop the lag a bit from the 4600ish... now I get full boost in 2nd gear at about 4200ish (8-10psi... open 3"dp).

rondigs... I cant believe you talk on the cordless phone while driving...
