which timing belt? gsr block/b16 head
any ideas?
Did try a greddy belt off gsr and b16 any ideas on why there's a problem and/or what to do?
1) a gsr timing belt -too loose
2) B16 timing belt -won't fit
3) ls maybe???

you use a gsr belt... with a gsr/itr water pump...what you basicly done is made a type R with that set up .. just with out the type R stuff in the head and with out the type R piston..
Its like a type R except with out the type r pistons, rods, crank, cams, valve train, hand pnp head intake manifold etc etc. Wait thats nothing like a type r.
Anyways if its an ls water pump use an ls timing belt. If its a gsr/b16 bla blah water pump then use a gs-r timing belt. I can't remember which water pump has 22 teeth and which has 19. I think the b16/gsr has 22 teeth. That would explain why the belt is too lose. And a b16 would be too short no matter how hard you try.
