My car throws a code about twice a week. I checked it today and it did one long one I believe, pause one long one. I watched it for a minute and it was the same thing. My quesiton is how long is a long one, or how short is a short one. It's either a 1 or a 10. If it's a 10, how can I fix the IAT, what might be wrong with it? It's weird that it only comes about twice a week.

if I am not mistaken the IAT is that small sensor on the top of the intake manifold small one with two screws holding it on the manifold.

 

thats right the intake air temp sensor is on the manifold.
but about your light flashes a long flash(10) is usually about 1 second long and a short flash(1) is very quick flash. there will be about 2-3 seconds between different codes.
