cel code help

cel code help

hey when i short out the cel plug the cel puts out one long flash and then its dark for 6 seconds then it puts out another long flash and it keeps doing this over and over... does anyone know what code this is? i have a 97 civic dx so its obd2. thanks

Sounds like code 10 - intake air temperature sensor.

yup that's code 10. IAT Sensor (Intake Air Temperature) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

long flash means 10's, short flashes are 1's.........For example 2 long flashes and 1 short flash would be 21. or 6 short flashes would be code 6.
