Default Brake Pedal Pressure Problem

I have a 95 honda civic dx with 94 integra gsr disc brakes in the rear. I have brembo slotted rotors on the front and rear with ebc green stuff pads in the front and unknown brake pads in the rear. These pads were installed last year in march. When I come to a complete stop at a traffic light the brake pedal seems to slowly sink toward the floor. I some times have to pull up the e brake and pump the pedal to regain pressure. My stopping distance does not seem to have gone down and brake fluid levels are normal. Does anyone have a know what I can do. Is this a sign that its time to change the pads. Thanks

if you have to pump the brakes, my guess would be either 1) the brakes need to be bled, or 2) you need a new brake master cylinder.....those would be my 2 guess's, if you needed new pads, pumping the brakes wouldn't matter, they just wouldn't work too good at all, no matter how much you pumped.....

Bleed your brakes, if that don't work take a look at your rubber brake lines. Have someone stomp on the brake while you watch the lines, if they seem fine start looking towards the master cylinder.

Your Master Cylinder has failed. Replace it and be sure that brake fluid has not leaked into the brake booster as replacement of the booster is needed if you find fluid in the BB.

Your Master Cylinder has failed

That would be my guess as well.

bleed your brakes... if that doesnt work then you got to replace your master brake cylinder... how much mileage do you got on that cars anyways..

Does the problem seem to get worse as the weather heats up ? If so I would look at the rubber lines as well.

FYI - next time post in the EG 92+ forum since your car isn't an 88~91.
