Default turbo cam??????????

Anyone here use a Delta 272 cam on their turbo A6/ZC?
this cam has 48 degrees of overlap is this too much for turbo setup?

here are the specs on it:

Intake & exhaust
Lobe center sep = 117 Cam deg
Valve overlap = -48 Cranck deg

Intake
Valve opening = -24 'btdc
Lobe center = 116.8 'atdc
Valve closure = 21.4 'abdc
Duration = 177.4 Cranck deg
Max cam lift = .22547 in.
Net valve lift = .33821.
Lobe 'area' = 15.35 in * deg

Exhaust
Valve opening = 33.5 'bbdc
Lobe center = 117.2 'btdc
Valve closure = -24 'atdc
Duration = 189.5 Cranck deg
Max cam lift = .24827 in.
Net valve lift = .3724.
Lobe 'area' = 17.65 in * deg

I think Crane makes a cam for the a6 that works well with turbo and nitrous setups...

Check this thread out on boost and the ZEX cam. Very interesting.

You wanna know why it was shitty and made little power? Because it has negative 48 degress of overlap and **** for duration. 177 degress of duration. That's laughable. A stock LS has what, 190 on the intake? As per boosted hybrid.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by boosted hybrid &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Typical turbo cams have high lift, lower duration. This doesnt work well with honda engines. They like to make peak VE at higher rpms, and using a cam like this will ultimately limit the amount of scavenging that occurs in the higher rpm level. With a high lift, low duration turbo cam you'll make alot of midrange gain, but the top end will drop off since the engine wont be able to breath through the reduction in total valve time open (duration). One customer had a set of Crower turbo cams, he losted nearly 40whp at high boost compared to a pair of OEM b16a ones. OEM gsr and itr are really good at making high rpm whp that honda engines are known for.</TD></TR></TABLE>

wrong
advertised duration is 272 intake and exhaust and lift is 425 intake and exhaust
So in essence its far more agressive than the stock specs, which can be seen here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=427814 .

Advertised duration doesn't mean ****. You can have a cam with an advertised duration of 360 degrees because the valve is open a crack for 260 degrees, and then it is really only open for 100 degrees @ .050 or at .040/1mm, whatever floats your boat. The lift on that, unless i'm on crack, is .338 and .372, which sounds a lot like a stock replacement emissions cam to me.
