So whats the difference from an intermediate shaft and a half shaft do I need to get both of those for the driver side, all i know is the spindle on my civic axle is too big for the hole in the tranny and the half shaft i bought for a GSR isnt long enough

intermediate shaft and half shaft is the same thing people just have different names for it...but that what you really need...the one you got that isnt long enough i think that your AXLES

sorry this is my first engine swap so axles and half shafts are 2 different things and instead of buying a GSR driver side axle I need to buy a half shaft and that would be long enough?

just like everyone else is saying. you need the half shalf. it comes out of the tranny and is basically an extension to the axle which bolds to the block.

intermediate shaft goes from the differential to the end of the engine block and is stationary. Then, you have equal lentgh drive axles on both sides, whereas a D series has one LONG axle and one short one.
there ya go. buy this halfshaft and your problems will be solved.
