Default Almost new defective Throw Out Bearing ??

Hi,

About 7k miles ago i have replaced a couple of bearings in my tranny (mainshaft ones), and as the tranny was out i decided to replace the throw out bearing with an oem one, as you ht ppl always suggested.

Today i was having really fun pushing my R, when i came to a stop and heard a whistling faint noise.

I slightly touched the clutch pedal and it stopped.

The noise is not very audible but irritating

How can a new oem t/o bearing get worn after only 7k miles?

Do you think that if i leave it like that, ie. i don't pull out the tranny and replace it, this could lead to damage to the tranny please?

Rgds,

did you grease the living hell out of it?

and.... what do you think. use a little common sense. if a faulty/failed TO bearing works as well as a regular one, why not just ditch it all together?

Hey,

what is your problem man???

I am just asking a question whether i should take out the tranny and replace the t/o bearing beacuse of the noise or not.

And whether if i won't, will it damage any other parts, since its still a new t/o bearing.

The noise is only an annoyance and wont cause any real damage afaik.

with this logic you could also never replace a throw out bearing.

(notice its name?)

What the **** are you talking about?

Stop being an ***.

Anyways, I would not worry about the bearing unless it gets louder - mine has been making noise on/off for the last 10k miles. If it does, pull it and relube/replace.
