Default Has this Ls build been done before?

Its that time, just hit 195k miles on the car and its gunna be time to rebuild soon so here is what I plan to do, I already have most of the parts. Please no posts telling me to just buy a VTEC head.

GSR crank
GSR Rods
ITR Pistons
GSR oilpump
GSR windage tray
Revhard springs, Titanium retainers
Reground cams(somewhat close to the crower short duration high lift spec cams)
P&P head
OBD1 LS ecu running a CTR fuel map with rev limit at 9.5k rpm

I was able to get most of the parts and headwork done for about $900 total. Tell me what you think or sugestions(Other than VTEC head swap as mentioned earlier)

Yes i am gunna take a slight hit on displacement but I think the rod stroke ratio gains are worth it.

Not quite quite sure I understand what you're saying.

In your list of modifications, I don't see any "head" related stuff. Are you actually getting a Vtec head? Or are you just modifying your non-Vtec one? I didn't quite understand.

Anyway, I'd get a block girdle in there too while you're at it.

Near the bottom where it says P&P head. I am going to have the head ported and polished, maybe some other stuff if i can find the $$

seems like you may end up losing a lot of power. but i'm just guessing out of my *** right now(too much to drink). hhhmmm...maybe if you had some really aggressive cams that could make up for it and be somewhat of full time vtec LS motor? damn i should shut up already...

I'll be using something close to a stage 2/3 cam, here are the specs:
Specs are Duration: 230 deg intake, 230 deg exhaust Duration @ .050" 187 deg intake, 187 deg exhaust. Gross lift w/1.75 rocker arm ratio is .444" on intake and exhaust.

Or i might just buy a set of cams if i find a good enough deal. The car will redline at 9k or higher, that all depends on where it stops making power on the dyno.
