long story short... Tonight i was driving on the freeway, and a big o chunk of tire (basically the whole thing) flew up from underneath the truck in front of me and onto my hood, causing some minor yet seriously, painfully dent on my hood.

Now, the problem is my vtec won't engage, my speedometer doesnt work, and top of that my idle is a lil higher usual 1500 to be exact.. normally it would be about 1050.. so what the fudge happen?? what should i do? all help are greatly appreciated.

Did you happen to notice any VISUAL damage under the hood?

 

sorry but im kinda new to this.. i jumped the wires and got this: 16, 17, 20, 41

16 Fuel injectors
17 VSS - speed sensor
20 Electrical load detector
41 Primary oxygen sensor heater

and i have no clue what they mean

 

kinda of a dumb question but, you have the normal amount of oil in the motor right?

 

If your speedo isn't working than vtec will not engage!

 

has oil.. btw i have a 98 b18c5 obd1.. i dont know if that info would make any difference
