If you have an autozone in SF, take it there b/c they will scan the code and tell you why it's on for FREE!

You can take it to Autozone and theyll do the test thing and tell you what engine code its throwing, then look on the engine code list and find out what it is, and ask people what to do to fix it and go from there. Hope this helps.

why dont u.....
1) close the loop on your ecu
2) check what code your throwing (a long flash=10 and a short flash=1 add them up)
3) then go to the sticky in the hybrid forum for ecu codes and check what code it is. then u will know whats wrong.

what do you mean by close the loop on your ecu? I've been doing some research trying to see what I have to do to read the code on my car, but I only found stuff for cars older than 1995... what I have to do in my 1998 hx civic?

theres a reason this thread is stickied..it should be the second thread in this forum

but closing the loop he means sticking a wire in the one plug coming off from the computer...
then u turn the car on and the engine light willl blink...
