Rims have a goey adhesive type strip on the edge.
Havent gotten my new car yet, still waiting on the title to arrive at the owners home. But I have checked it out a few times and noticed that the right front rim has an almost adhesive tape on the edges of the rims where the tires wrap the rim. The rims appear to be scratched but under closer inspection it seems most of it is just the "adhesive."
My question is how should I go about cleaning off this gunk without ruining the finish of the rims and/or damaging the tires on it. Im not positive of the type of finish on the rims but they are 17" aluminum alloy. Not sure if they are coated or not. Appreciate the help.
--BTW Couldent post this in the cosmetic section due to my trial membership.
