Default INCREDIBLY BAD PROBLEM WITH MY FRANKENSTEIN....CLUELESS...HELP...

i have a 94 civic ex with a 99 Si head on a 93 gs-r block (b17a1 block)...i had just a throttle cable problem before, but now its rigged tight for now....but now its gotten so much worse..the car is so powerless....it sound horrible wen started, the exhaust sounds like a lawnmower, the engine sounds quiet and weak...even if u rev it under the hood with ur finger, it still barely revs so i know its not the throttle cable since its hooked on tight....now the car will not go above 5-10 mph in first or any gear for that matter...after about 3 minutes of driving around my condo complex, the car is so powerless that it stalls just pulling into my flat garage, and it barely fires up after that when started...has to put it in neutral and push it in with friends...i dont understand this huge power loss i cant think of a reason for it...my dad and mechanic friend pablo both mentioned it maybe being an air/fuel mix problem but no ones sure because its a frankenstein....ive tried different setups with the old distributor cap and new one, and msd spark plug wires and new stock acura ones...no setup makes a difference....no vtec will kick in, no oil catch tank noise kicking in...both are impossible considering the car can no longer reach above 10 mph or 3000 rpms even with the pedal to the floor...can somebody please give any suggestions or help on this..im so down right now because i need a car for school and i am stuck..im sick of having problems with this car, i at least wanna fix it to sell to someone...but i need help..please someone help..i will provide any more info needed if anyone can explain any of this..thankyou

I feel for ya but I don't know the solution to your problem. However, I do know not to buy somebody else's hybrid because of headaches like these. Afterall that is probably the reason why they are selling it in the first place.

yeah i agree with you man...ill check those things u recommended...but since im no mechanic how do i check some of those? what can i do on my own to check this thing out before i go to sum mechanic? im so stuck guys..i badly need to get rid of this and buy a normal car because of school..i feel so dumb for buying this ******* car...im gonna **** up his house or something soon lol...keep any suggestions coming..thankyou again.....and keep in mind, the first few days i had the car, it ran awesome...hit vtec very loud and hard, could go up to 9k rpms, was awesome, sounded great....the idle was a little low so a mechanic friend switched the msd spark plug wires to stock acura ones because the car didnt have an msd ignition, so the idle was fixed, but the car started to act a little like it is now at a lesser extent....it started sounding lawnmower-ish in the exhaust, and sounded bad, lost a little power...so since then i have switched back to the msd wires, but really it doesnt change..every thing i try with the wires and cap doesnt change anything...then he changed the spark plug to new ones, it didnt help...he put a new rotor and cap on..no change...then recently when we tried to rig the throttle cable a different way to get it tight....see problem here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=977000 ......ever since all of this **** has beend one, the car has been like it is in my original post..undriveable, unfixable with my non-car skills...also keep in mind that me and my dad and that mechanic friend have messed with things such as wires, spark plugs, rotor, cap, etc..but everything is put back correctly as far as we know....please help me god

Hey. I know this doesn't help much, but sinceyou bought the car done as it is from someone else and it was running fine, the dude has probably run into this problem before and knows how to ghetto rig some kind of solution (at least a solution that worked long enough to sell the car). You should swallow your pride and give him a call to see if he can help you out... Other than that, I'm at a loss.
