car stumbles on accelerating between 1000-2000rpms
Recently i had the head gasket replaced. Everything seems to be fine not overheating, or hoses hardening, etc. Now the problem that i have is when taking off it stumbles like it hetitates then it takes off. This happens onf 1st,2nd,3rd especially. Or i could be in any gear and if i step on it and i could feel the motor stumble. The mechanic said it was not his problem and only other thing he changed the knock sensor cause the engine light turned. My old man said it might need a valve lash adjusting but i dont think thats the problem. Need help.

That wouldn't cause the problem. Check your timing, the mechanic may have set it a tooth off when he re-installed the timing belt. Any CheckEngine Lights? All I can think of is a timing issue, sensor failure (cel on), or possibly a distributor ignitor going bad.

you now what thats what i told him....timing could be off by one tooth and he said it cant be! The reason he said that because when the car is in neutral it idles fine.

Re: car stumbles on accelerating between 1000-2000rpms (civic_tuned)
took my car yesterday to advance auto and they checked it w/ the computer. The guy told me that he got a code.
code P1399: manufacture control ignition or misfire
Did the mechanic installed the distributor wrong? or could this be a timing issue?
Other than the top and bottom hoses still feel hard but no bubbles from resoirvor or overfilling is this normal? I
installed a new oem thermostat from honda so it should open.
