Default Code 22 - Vtec Oil Pressure - Still engaging VTEC

got the car running.
runs strong thru the entire RPM band...

until the CEL pops on, and the fuel cut is brought down to around 6200rpms.

CEL shows a code 22.

BUT, I have a fields VTEC controller that engages VTEC regardless.

checked to see if the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch was wired correctly... yep, going to D6 (P72 ECU).

Checked to see if it was getting a good ground... yep.

Checked resistance between the switch... yep!

Checked oil level... sound as a pound.

any ideas or should i just replace it with a known working sensor and try it again...or stick with the chipped ecu idea...?

damn.

I was hoping there would be a "cheaper" solution.

You might want to try to clean the vtec solenoid out and see if that helps, if not I would replace the sensor with one you know that works well and see what happens.
