Default Is the p72 ECU the best???

Ok i have a GSR head on a b16a block and the mechanic said that he was goin to give me a SOHC Vtec (p78) ecu and he was goin to fix it so i could go 8500RPM but u guys told me that the p72 was better for this aplication. If he fix the fuel/air ratio (along with the RPMs) in the computer do you think it may work right?

Are you running the GSR 2 stage runner intake manifold? I'f you are, stick with the P72 so that your secondaries will still function.

yup...if you're running the stock intake manifold stick to the P72. You can run the P28 (sohc vtec) ECU but it takes special tuning to get it to run a gsr manifold correctly since the ECU doesnt have IAB control.
