shifter/tranny problem
i dont know exactly what the problem is but after i swapped a tranny there is excessive (a **** load) movement in the shifter and seems like the whole motor is moving when on the throttle. what could it be? im guessing its the mount on the firewall but i dont know.
Movement in the shifter can mean bad shifter bushings or the shift stick is connected to the shifter rod very loosely.
For the motor shaking under throttle.. probably worn out motor mounts.
What tranny did you put in?

I would re-confirm to check the mounts and the bushing(s), I'll check my book on it for yah a little later tonight. What car do you have(Make/Model/Tranny? etc.???) would help in my search. Are there any sounds? Do you drive pretty hard?

Probably the shift rod inside the tranny is wearing down since it's made of aluminum. My shifter has some play in it also while it's in gear and I replaced the bushings and checked everything for loose connections. I even put in that 'bitch pin' that connects the shifter rod to the tranny. And yet, I still have a little slope in the shifter. So I had someone move the shifter while it was in gear and I observed what was going on from under that car and it seemed like the free play was coming from inside the tranny. So my guess would be the shift rod in the tranny is wearing out.
