reason for engine pulling shifter out of bushing?
Hey guys just wondering if you have any idea why my shift rod would be constantly getting pulled out of the shifter bushing thats located under the shifter itself (not the one on the tranny), let me know guys, thanks.

what do you mean its getting pulled out? like its coming down from the floor board? cause you said not the one from the tranny if its coming loose and your having sloppy shifts is because you didn't tighten it good enough there are two 12 mill bolts that hold the shifter up and sometimes it can come undone if you don't use washers on the rubber groumet also bad motor mounts can move it but only really bad motor mounts or not having all of them on

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, never seen that happen though (pull out the shifter).

I'm a bit confused as to which ur talking about. Are you talking about the left-right tilt, or the back and forth push? Either way, there's a shifter going through one, and a bolt going through the other. So the bolt's breaking out of bottom of the shifter?

Re: reason for engine pulling shifter out of bushing? (Syndacate)
all mounts minus the one by the timing belt cover are polyurethane, the shifter bushing at the tranny is blown, and the stabilizer mount thats by the driver side fender looks a little rough. But ya it's being pulled out of the hole in the bushing where the rod goes in through, and when in, only goes in about half way, help me out guys, thanks.

it worked before, quite well, the guy who did the swap said it's the integra shift linkage. and it definetely doesn't look the same as the civic linkage (eg), any other input?
