My neighbor and I can't find any info on the Ta3 series turbos from garrett's 2004 catalog. I am thinking of using this turbo in a future setup but, I would like to know the specs of it first. TIA.

I googled that PN and it says it is a garrett core part number... not a good sign!

Why is that not a good sign? It was a functioning turbo and has no shaft play. I am just curious as to what it is?

they list it as a core, meaning it might be bad, or maybe they remanufactured it and didn't put their new part number on it??

 

I just looked it up to. 0018 is the core -18 is the new turbo. This is off of a perkins diesel engine if that helps. Mine is the -18 therefore it is the new one.

 

anyone else have any input?

 

I called powertechnologies and the said they group it W/ the T4 family? I know there are some turbo guru's in here!
